Snow Closing Procedure

Parents, in the event school is closed or has a delayed opening due to inclement weather, there are several ways for you to get this information. 

  • Call the school any time after 6:00 a.m. and THE FIRST RECORDING YOU RECEIVE will indicate such.  If the FIRST RECORDING does not state there is a closing or delay, there is none.  Please trust that and do not dial to speak to one of the secretaries.
  • Check the website any time after 6:00 a.m.
  • Listen to WCTC (1450 AM), STAR (99.1 FM), or WFME (94.7 FM)

IMPORTANT NOTES:   We NEVER close school early but parents do have the option of allowing their child to leave early due to inclement weather.  We must have a signed, written note from a parent to excuse any student leaving early due to the weather.  This includes any student who drives and any student going home with anyone other than their normal carpool.  You can anticipate the weather and send the note in with your child or you can fax the note to 732-985-8008.   BUT - no note, no leaving early!

ALSO - If you live in a town that provides bus transportation for your child and we get a call from the bus company that they are picking up early, we will do all we can to contact you to get permission for your child to take the bus.  If we are unable to contact you we will not let your child leave on the bus and you will have to pick them up from school.  To that end, please make sure we have the latest telephone numbers to contact you.


K-1 Lunch Ordering

Very Important!  Please Read Carefully!  Order Form

Whether you have elected to deposit funds for your child into the lunch voucher program or are paying cash on a weekly basis, you must send in an order form!  Lunches are cooked to order.  If there is no order for your child we will not know they are ordering lunch that day and we will not have enough food.  An Order Form must be completely filled out (whether paying cash or using the voucher system) - Name, Teacher, check off the days that you want your child to buy lunch and place the appropriate amount of money in an envelope with the order form, or be sure to have enough money in the voucher account - but still send in the order form.

All orders and money are due on Friday the week before you are buying. If a student is absent they may bring in their order or money when they return.
